Sourcing from Malaysia / Indonesia / Korea / Taiwan
Cayley Chemicals has built a relationship over many years with a wide variety of chemical manufacturers throughout the world but mainly from the Far East, India and Europe. It takes a great deal of experience to sort the ‘wheat from the chaff’ and to determine which manufacturers consistently produce high quality products at competitive prices and who ship reliably.
We have been buying from Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan for quite a few years, principally Stearic Acid, Glycerine and Labsa and have built a rapport with a number of different producers that can meet our customers demand for high quality products.
Malaysia & Indonesia are very strong in all products derived from Palm Oil Trees. Both countries have very well developed industries based on Palm plantations. The major players are fully integrated: Owning Palm Oil estates, Palm Oil mills, and refineries that produce palm and palm kernel oil fractions and downstream products.
Malaysia & Indonesia are major producers of vegetable-based oleochemicals including:
- fatty acids
- glycerine
- soap noodles and
- fatty esters
These versatile products are used in a wide variety of applications, including the manufacturing of detergents, surfactants, shampoos, soaps, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, food additives and plastics.
Cayley Chemicals is particularly strong in Stearic Acid and Glycerine.
Korea & Taiwan are both highly developed with major chemical industries. We deal with a number of International manufacturers. Quality and competitiveness are excellent. As an example we buy Labsa (Linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid) from LG chemicals in Korea.
Labsa is mainly used to produce household detergents including laundry powders, laundry liquids, dishwashing liquids and other household cleaners as well as in numerous industrial applications like as a coupling agent and as an emulsifier for agricultural herbicides and in emulsion polymerization.
